BATTERY RECHARGING ALL-TERRAIN INTELLIGENT MOBILE ROBOTS (BRATIMORS)

There will be 2 hardware to be made :

  1. Robotic Caterpillar
  2. Omni-directional Tracked Mobile Robot

Both systems will have battery recharging unit interfaced.

Robotic Caterpillar

Robotic Caterpillar will have four wheels, interfaced with timer belt-pulley mechanism. It will have a central unit, housing servomotors, control circuitry & drive systems.

Following basic dimensions / specifications will be used for the prototype development of Robotic Caterpillar:

  1. Number of wheels: 4
  2. Total weight of the robot (Approx): 4 kg
  3. Dimensions (cm): 80x35x20 (lxwxh)
  4. Diameter of the wheel: ~20 cm
  5. Width of wheel: ~10 cm
  6. Distance between two wheels: ~20 cm
  7. Height from ground to base body / central unit: ~30 cm
  8. Number of actuators / motors: 4
  9. Maximum payload: 1 kg
  10. Maximum speed of robot: 30 cm/sec
Omni-Directional Tracked Mobile Robot

Omni-directional tracked mobile robot will have six wheels, interfaced with a novel actuating mechanism.

Following basic dimensions / specifications will be used for the prototype development of the mobile robot:

  1. Number of wheels: 6
  2. Total weight of the robot (Approx): 20 Kg
  3. Dimensions (cm): 150x85x50 (lxwxh)
  4. Diameter of the wheel: ~30 cm
  5. Width of wheel: 20 cm
  6. Distance between two wheels: ~35 cm
  7. Height from ground to base body: ~50 cm
  8. Number of actuators / motors: 5
  9. Maximum payload: 15 kg
  10. Maximum speed of robot: 200 cm/sec
